Parent & Child Head Spa in Huntington Beach: A Mini & Me Self-Care Experience
Some of the best self-care moments are the ones we get to share.

Our parent and child Head Spa in Huntington Beach was created for an adult and child ages 6–12 to enjoy a relaxing wellness experience together.
Rather than a traditional children’s salon visit, Mini & Me introduces younger guests to gentle scalp care and healthy self-care habits in a calm, welcoming environment—while giving the adult a chance to relax too.

At Vitality Vibe Spa, we believe wellness can also be about connection. Sometimes that means slowing down, putting the phones away and simply enjoying time together.
What Is a Mini & Me Head Spa?

Our Mini & Me experience is a parent-and-child Japanese-inspired Head Spa designed with younger guests in mind.
The experience focuses on gentle cleansing, scalp care and relaxation rather than aggressive treatments or complicated routines.
We personalize the visit because children’s hair and scalp needs can be very different from adults’.
And while we call it Mini & Me, the experience isn’t limited to moms and daughters. Moms, dads, sons and other appropriate adult-and-child pairings can enjoy the experience together.
Why Introduce Children to Scalp Care?
Children learn many self-care habits from the adults around them.
We teach them to brush their teeth, wash their face and protect their skin from the sun, but scalp care is rarely discussed.
Learning How to Properly Clean the Scalp
Kids can develop oil, sweat and product residue just like adults, particularly as they become more active.
A Head Spa creates an opportunity to talk about gentle cleansing and healthy hair-care habits without making the routine complicated.
Understanding That Scalp and Hair Are Different
Healthy-looking hair begins with caring for the skin underneath it.
Helping children understand that distinction early can make hair care easier as they get older.
Making Self-Care Feel Positive
Self-care doesn’t need to be about correcting something that’s “wrong.”
We want younger guests to experience it as something positive: taking care of themselves, slowing down and learning about their bodies in an age-appropriate way.
What Happens During a Parent & Child Head Spa?
We keep the experience approachable, relaxing and personalized.
Depending on the individual guest, the experience may include gentle scalp cleansing, scalp massage, conditioning and hydration, relaxing wellness touches and hair finishing.
Most importantly, we adjust our approach to the child’s comfort level.
There is no expectation that every child responds to a spa environment in exactly the same way.
Is a Head Spa Safe for Kids?
Our Mini & Me experience is intended for children ages 6–12 and is adapted specifically for younger guests.
We use a gentler approach and take individual sensitivities into consideration. Parents or guardians should always tell us about allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions or anything else we should know before treatment.
A Head Spa is a cosmetic wellness service and does not diagnose or treat medical scalp conditions. Persistent itching, sores, significant hair loss or other concerning symptoms should be evaluated by an appropriate healthcare professional.

A Different Kind of Parent & Child Day
There are plenty of ways to spend time together.
Sometimes, though, it’s nice to choose something quieter.
A Mini & Me Head Spa can become a birthday experience, school-break activity, special parent-and-child day or simply an excuse to spend intentional time together.
Our private setting is especially important here. Rather than moving through a busy salon environment, we want the experience to feel comfortable, personal and unrushed.
Can Boys Enjoy Mini & Me Too?
Absolutely.
Scalp care isn’t gender-specific.
A son can enjoy a Head Spa with mom or dad just as much as a daughter can. We intentionally keep the experience focused on wellness, healthy scalp habits and relaxation rather than presenting self-care as something only for girls.
What Should Parents Know Before Booking?
Tell us about allergies, sensitivities or existing scalp concerns when completing your intake information.
We also recommend preparing your child for what they’ll experience. Let them know that we’ll be washing and gently caring for their scalp and that they can communicate if something feels uncomfortable.
Our goal is never to force a child through a treatment. We want their first experience with professional self-care to be a positive one.
